How much is a crescent sundial from DASH and what does it include?
The cost delivered to your door fully assembled is £998.00 including your personalised message, presentation box and care kit.
How do I create my personalised message?
Proceed to Design & Order. Once you have chosen the font style simply type in the text required which will populate the compass rose on your screen and press Submit. Please be aware that this text will be laser etched onto the sundial base plate and replicate exactly how it will look once the sundial is finished. There is a maximum of 70 characters including full stops and spaces available for your personalised message.
How do I pay?
All payment is through PayPal either using a PayPal account or credit / debit card and the contact details you submit.
How Eco friendly is DASH packaging?
A great deal of time and effort has been spent to ensure all packaging is reusable or eco-friendly. The packing beads for example are made from corn starch and will dissolve on the compost heap. The velvet draw bag and presentation box are ideal for storing Christmas Decorations.
Where can I use a DASH Sundial?
A DASH Sundial is designed and calibrated for use in all parts of the UK.
How big is the sundial?
The base plate is 280mm across and the crescent some 320mm high.
Does the sundial come with a plinth?
No plinth is supplied. Plinths are available from many retailers however DASH Sundials are pleased to recommend Haddonstone plinths www.haddonstone.com or info@haddonstone.co.uk
What is the lead time once I have ordered?
We aim to deliver your DASH Sundial within 20 working days of order confirmation. You will receive an email to confirm the order and then another to confirm the date of dispatch.
How is the Sundial sent to me?
Your sundial will be dispatched using Royal Mail signed for delivery
Are there instructions on how to set up the sundial?
Full instructions are delivered within the presentation box for setting up and how to take care of your DASH Sundial, to ensure your enjoyment for many years to come.
How do I pick up the sundial safely?
Your DASH Sundial is made with the finest mirror polished stainless steel which is naturally heavy. Always pick up the sundial from the top of the crescent. Do not use the dial gauge bow (the bit with the numbers on)
How accurate is a DASH Sundial in telling the time?
Clearly an element of sunshine is required to form the shadow on the dial gauge. There will be some variation based on the time of year, earth’s inclination and elliptical path around the sun. But in general, a good indication of the time of day will be displayed.
How secure can I make my DASH Sundial?
The sundial will need to be moved to reflect BST and GMT and therefore cannot be permanently fixed or made secure against theft.
How long will my DASH Sundial last?
A DASH Sundial is made with the finest materials and should last for many, many years to come. Occasional cleaning with plenty of warm soapy water will be needed to remove dust and bird droppings. Bullet polish is supplied in the care kit to keep you prize possession in perfect condition. Just follow the instructions on the bottle to restore that healthy gleam.

Can I change my delivery address?
DASH Sundials are obliged to send your sundial to your PayPal registered address or the address where the credit / debit card is registered.
Where do I stand regarding GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations)?
DASH Sundials does not have access to your financial details as these are held by PayPal, but will obtain your contact details via PayPal for the duration of creating your sundial and dispatch to your address.
